Many people criticize them for getting physical all the time, but then again, they’re teenagers, they’re hormonal, and they are very much in love with each other. Throw the first stone if you’ve never got handsy with your significant other every time you got a chance! However, as true as this is, no one can point a finger at Varchie when it comes to healthy communication.
Veronica reveals that they have Hiram on camera as he murdered Vittorio Alto in his bed, and in exactly one hour, Betty intends to hand the video footage over to the FBI. As for Hiram’s belongings, they’ll sell whatever he has left in town and use it to rebuild Pop’s and Riverdale. Faced with insurmountable odds, Hiram is forced out of Riverdale at gunpoint. He tells Betty that he wishes the four regular friends were hanging out at Pop’s. And when Betty asks why he can’t be normal, Jughead responds that he will never be normal. Archie tells Betty that Jughead’s birthday is coming up and that they go see a movie every year, but he thinks Betty should take him this year.
Veronica gets upset and blames Archie for not telling her. Archie continues to fight with Veronica over his choice to not tell her about her father. Archie was simply trying to do the right thing, reminding Veronica that it’s been a rough year.
However, unbeknownst to Cheryl, Toni is secretly working with Betty to expose the Farm. At Thistlehouse, Cheryl surprises Toni with a trip to Quebec. She thought since Toni’s been working so hard with the Pretty Poisons, it might be good for the two of them to get away.
Betty’s defense of both Jughead and FP also earns her ire from fellow students. With his dad in jail, Jughead is transferred to Southside High. Betty, Veronica, and Archie go to get him back, but he tells them maybe he belongs there.

And to make things stick, Betty reduces Archie to comfort in the night during her worst hours. Remarkably, at the very end of their senior year, all that changed. Archie began to have feelings for Betty and even told Veronica, leading to their breakup. For the sake of mixing things up, the sudden change of heart makes sense.
It was obvious that Veronica still had lingering feelings for Archie during her time with Reggie so it was hard for viewers to completely get behind the relationship. Fangs is another Southside Serpent that could be a great match for Veronica. Unfortunately, Fangs has been through some hardships throughout his time on Riverdale.
Living in a house full of servants, Veronica often thinks that they are only there to serve her, and she doesn’t see them as people. She will often yell at her maids to bring her something and “to be quick about it.” At one point, her mother forced her to do all her own chores and fetch her own snacks, throughout the entire summer. Veronica’s best friend (and sometimes arch-rival) is Betty Cooper, and the two enjoy countless activities and interests. However, they are also at constant competition for Archie’s affections. Veronica is often jealous of Betty, and will go to any length to steal anything that is important or a triumph for Betty, even if she did not want it in the first place. If Betty has a date with a new boy, Veronica will let her have Archie for a brief time, so that she can steal the date.

Archie limps back to Veronica’s car after having lost the Regional tournament fight. Even after the major loss, Archie intends to go through with the exhibition fight with Fangs, which Veronica says is a bad idea, but Archie’s mom will be there with a recruiter. Veronica is willing to do whatever she has to, but she’s not allowing Archie into the ring. Veronica later arrives at the gym to inform Fangs, Mary, and Brooke that Archie has food poisoning and that he can’t make the fight. However, Archie comes out the back geared up and ready to fight. However, Archie faints and hits the canvas as he enters the ring.
Betty later explained that even though he was hit pretty hard in the head with a rock, his iconic beanie cushioned the blow. Instead of killing him, the rock just put a major gash in urmytype his head. Joaquin, who was a member of the Southside Serpents and dated Kevin Keller in season 1, died from cyanide poisoning as a sacrifice for the Gryphons and Gargoyles game.
